Gratitude and Frustration: Reflections on Life
Navigating the Bright and Dark Sides of My Current Situation
Gratitude for AI in Thesis Work
Lucky me. I am grateful to be living in a time when AI is booming. Even though working on a thesis is hard, and coding from scratch is even harder, AI has made things a bit easier. I can ask for help, generate code, and get explanations. It has made life a little less stressful.
AI as a Helpful Tool
AI can also assist with ideation and fix my grammar. It's like an extension of myself, a proxy for my weaknesses.
Challenges with Teamwork
However, a little bit not so lucky me, my thesis teammates aren’t working independently. They can’t get the work done on their own—they need me to give them directions before they take action but I'm a little bit grateful at the same time because they cooperate when I command things. What's unlucky is that some teachers seem uninterested, as if they’re only teaching for the paycheck. I can’t see the passion in their efforts, and it sometimes makes me question their commitment to teaching. But this is life.
Facing Reality and Staying Focused
Life sucks sometimes, and it will probably get even worse in the coming days. It’s just a matter of spending time wisely and taking advantage of anything that can help me speed up the process.
Final Push and Reminder
Elly, please work accordingly. Stop wasting time on social media, especially YouTube. You're so close to finishing this thesis. We’re almost there. Keep going!
