Why Freedom from Government Aid is Positive
Embrace Freedom and Opportunity Beyond Government Support
While I understand the purpose of the 4Ps program, a financial assistance initiative by the Philippine government, it can sometimes be frustrating. There seems to be a perception that some beneficiaries misuse the funds. Ideally, the program should empower people to break free from poverty, not become solely reliant on the monthly stipend.
In some cases, the 4Ps program might unintentionally create a dependence on government aid. However, it's important to remember the program's positive aspects. It can be a crucial safety net for families struggling financially.
Since some beneficiaries misuse the 4Ps program for personal gain, perhaps a shift in focus towards livelihood opportunities and education would be more beneficial. This might address concerns that the program has more drawbacks than advantages.
If the 4Ps program were implemented with principles of Universal Basic Income (UBI) or Socialist Egalitarianism, where everyone receives some form of government support, I wouldn't mind the perceived unfairness of the current system.
Government programs are a double-edged sword. While I may not be directly involved with them, I understand their importance in helping those in need. Hearing about my classmates' scholarships reminds me of the positive impact these programs can have.
There's a part of me that wonders "what if me too?," but ultimately, I'm incredibly grateful for my current situation. My family's hard work has provided us with stability, and I wouldn't trade that for anything.
Thankfully, our family's financial stability means we don't rely on such programs. It's a testament to my father's hard work and our responsible spending habits. We appreciate the value of money earned through hard work, which has instilled in us a sense of financial responsibility.
